For the one of us that are still missing the “recreational” moments that we have spent on our last vacations, sitting in the hotel bar, listening to a woman on the piano playing “Piano Man”, while drinking our daily before-I-go-to-the-beach martini, I have good news: the perfect excuse to keep on drinking your appetizer every day (I am not recommending here a before-I-go-to-work-drink at all, but something more like “I just came back from work, want to unwind and feel, only for a few minutes, that I’m enjoying holidays again”). Ok, I fairly enough will have to admit that it won’t be exactly the same: the beach will not be awaiting for you only a couple of steps away, the Canadians middle-aged groups won’t be there to remind you that the glass that you are drinking from can only hold a tenth part compared to the personal practical hand barrel the barman is filling up for them, and –this is for the girls- you will not find the latino waiter or barman chatting away to you while displaying his white-teeth flirtering simile; however back at home now, you can still play some music and just chill out for a bit.
Besides being ideal for guests and even better for a petit déjeuner table, the Havana Oak Round Bar Table will also bring some of those memories back to you.
Piano Man.
(Billy Joel)
It’s nine o’clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There’s an old man sitting next to me
Makin’ love to his tonic and gin
He says, “Son, can you play me a memory
I’m not really sure how it goes
But it’s sad and it’s sweet and I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man’s clothes.”
la la la, di da da
La la, di di da da dum
Chorus:
Sing us a song, you’re the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we’re all in the mood for a melody
And you’ve got us all feelin’ all right
Now John at the bar is a friend of mine
He gets me my drinks for free
And he’s quick with a joke and he’ll light up your smoke
But there’s some place that he’d rather be
He says, “Bill, I believe this is killing me.”
As his smile ran away from his face
“Well I’m sure that I could be a movie star
If I could get out of this place”
Oh, la la la, di da da
La la, di da da da dum
Now Paul is a real estate novelist
Who never had time for a wife
And he’s talkin’ with Davy, who’s still in the Navy
And probably will be for life
And the waitress is practicing politics
As the businessman slowly gets stoned
Yes, they’re sharing a drink they call loneliness
But it’s better than drinkin’ alone
Chorus
sing us a song you’re the piano man
sing us a song tonight
well we’re all in the mood for a melody
and you got us all feeling alright
It’s a pretty good crowd for a Saturday
And the manager gives me a smile
‘Cause he knows that it’s me they’ve been comin’ to see
To forget about their life for a while
And the piano, it sounds like a carnival
And the microphone smells like a beer
And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar
And say, “Man, what are you doin’ here?”
Oh, la la la, di da da
La la, di da da da dum
Chorus:
sing us a song you’re the piano man
sing us a song tonight
well we’re all in the mood for a melody
and you got us all feeling alright

Thanks for posting, I’ll definitely be subscribing to your blog.
No, thank you Mr. porteño money making guru.
I think the best idea here is the combination of club chairs and bar stools. It fits perfectly around the cocktail table, and the non threatening set up is also perfect to create the perfect “hanging out” atmosphere

Agreed. I also love to reminisce the moments from my last vacation. But what really amazed me on your post are the two photos of a club chairs, table and stools as they look very elegant with that white background.
